Multicap is to build four fully-accessible apartments in Rockhampton, in an effort to provide long-term future living arrangements for adults with disability who are cared for by elderly parents.

The high-needs disability support organisation has become one of the first to receive partial funding from the Queensland State Government for the innovative accommodation project as part of the Elderly Parent Carer Innovation Trial.

KDPR is helping Multicap spread the word that these much needed apartments are a sign of hope and would change the lives of five Queensland families.

Having appointed local Rockhampton builders JM Handley Builders , Multicap has identified three different co-tenancy arrangements as part of the trial, addressing the needs of parent/child cohabitation, siblings, and co-tenancy with two people with disabilities.
