BoysTown and KDPR have been recognised with a Commended Award for the Kids Helpline Miranda Kerr Ambassador announcement at the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) Awards in Brisbane.

To support Kids Helpline’s objectives, KDPR worked in tandem with BoysTown and developed a media campaign to announce Miranda Kerr as the organisation’s new Ambassador, incorporating PR, social media, photography and video to achieve saturation metropolitan and regional media coverage.

The results of the campaign far exceeded the objectives with more than 69 stories published in print, radio and TV and over 100 online stories recorded, with the first stories published within one hour of the event.  This reached a combined audience of 4.9 million people.
